The Wine Box Champagne Recoltant Manipulant is a precious assortment designed by the sommeliers of Callmewine to celebrate the Champagne of the vigneron, the most authentic and genuine, often surprising. The expression Récoltant-Manipulant, found on the label under the acronym RM, identifies those Champagnes produced by winemakers who vinify exclusively the grapes they grow themselves, in contrast to the broader category of Négociant-Manipulant which includes producers, often large Maisons, that work with grapes at least partially purchased. Legendary producers like Jacques Selosse, Egly-Ouriet, and Agrapart are Récoltant-Manipulant.
The Wine Box Champagne Recoltant Manipulant includes three delightful bottles of Champagne produced by winemakers classified as Récoltant-Manipulant. In general, RM Champagnes are sparkling wines that strongly express the terroir from which they originate, true interpretations of the area of origin, whether it is the elegant Côte des Blancs, the deepMontagne de Reims, the varied Vallée de la Marne, the alternative Aube, or the less considered Côte de Sézanne. Often, the Récoltant-Manipulant winemakers operate following the principles of organic farming, sometimes embracing the holistic biodynamic vision, always committed to offering the most sincere qualitative face of their vineyards. Compared to NM, RM tend to produce expressions characterized by a certain variability from batch to batch, even more pronounced when it comes to vintage wines, making each bottle unique and unrepeatable.
